Later in the evening, Jimmy went to play with his friends.
Before leaving, his mother reminded him, “Stay
clean and wash your hands before eating any
food.” At the playground, Jimmy enjoyed running
and climbing, remembering how exercise keeps
the body fit. His teacher had once taught about good
posture like standing straight and sitting upright to avoid
back problems. That night, Jimmy went to bed early,
knowing that sleep gives rest to the body. His parents
also explained about good touch and bad touch,
teaching him to be alert and safe. Jimmy felt proud
to take care of his body just like he cared for nature.
“Clean and strong, healthy we stay,
Exercise and posture guide the way.

Sleep brings peace, and rest to all,
Care for your body, big or small.”

The next day, Jimmy visited his cousin’s village. He saw kutcha
houses made of mud and straw, and pukka houses built
with bricks and cement. His uncle showed him stilt
houses near a river. Jimmy learnt that clean houses
protect us from diseases. His aunt then showed him
clothes made from cotton plants and wool from sheep.
She explained how fibre is spun into thread, woven
into cloth and stitched into garments. Jimmy realised
housing and clothing not only provide comfort but
also show the hard work of many people.
“Houses strong, and clothes we wear,
Keep us safe with love and care.

Cotton, wool, from farm to loom,
Bring us comfort in every room.”

               Moral of the Story

Jimmy’s journey taught him that food, health, hygiene, houses and clothes are all part of the environment
that keeps us safe and happy. It means to respect food and never waste it, to eat a balanced diet and to
cook and preserve food wisely. It also means to keep our body clean, exercise, maintain good posture
and get enough sleep. Houses and clothes give us protection and comfort, so we must care for them too.
By living mindfully and respecting every gift of nature, we can build a healthy lifestyle and contribute to
              a greener, safer world.
