Fruit and Seeds
A fruit contains seeds and protects them so that they grow into a healthy plant with
the help of water, soil and sunlight. A seed then gives rise to a new plant through the
process of germination. It also stores food for the new plant.
We eat seeds of plants like rice, wheat, corn and gram. Such seeds are called edible
seeds.
