Deserts
A desert can be defined as an area where there is less rainfall.
As it is a very dry area, few crops grow here. Deserts are very
hot in summers and extremely cold in winters. The Thar Desert
is an example of desert in India.

The Coastal Plains
A coast is a vast stretch of land along the sea. India has a
widespread coastline of about 7,000 kilometres. It stretches
from Gujarat in the west up to West Bengal in the east. The
coastal plains of our country are divided into two parts, namely,
coastal plain the Western and the Eastern Coastal Plains.
The Group of Islands
India has two groups of islands – the
Andaman and Nicobar Islands,
also known as the Emerald Islands,
and the Lakshadweep Islands, the
smallest among the Union Territories.
Lakshadweep Islands are also known Andaman and Nicobar Lakshadweep Island

Amarnath Cave
Amarnath cave is situated in the Himalayas (Jammu and
Kashmir). It is one of the most famous pilgrimage sites. Inside
the cave, a naturally formed ice shiva linga is worshipped. Every
year thousands of devotees trek through the valleys and snow-
covered mountains to reach this holy shrine.
