Dosa
Dosa is a crispy, thin pancake made from fermented rice and
dal batter. It is a popular South Indian dish usually eaten with
chutney and sambar. Since it contains both rice and dal, dosa
gives energy as well as protein. Fermentation also makes it easier
dosa to digest.
Sambar
Sambar is a thick, soupy dish made using dal, tamarind and
vegetables such as drumsticks, pumpkin and beans. It is flavoured
with special spices called sambar powder. Sambar is not only
tasty but also healthy because it combines the goodness of
pulses, tamarind and vegetables in one dish.
